GREETINGS!

As always, there is much to report from your association office. We just completed our ’10-’11 fiscal year, and things are looking up! Classified revenue is on the rise, and we are looking forward to another successful year.

THIS JUST IN!

We have chosen the dates for the 2012 FCPNY Super Conference. It will be held Sunday, March 18, and Monday, March 19, at the Turning Stone Resort and Conference Center in Verona, N.Y. The day change to Sunday/Monday produced an increase in attendance last year. You may remember that the general consensus is that this day change enables many of our member publications to send additional team members because it is less likely to interfere with deadlines. Keep your eyes peeled for details on the Graphic Awards Competition—they will be arriving in your inboxes soon!

REMINDER AND REQUEST

CPAN classifieds fund your member benefits. AdMall, PaperChain, SRDS, CVC audits, conferences, the graphics awards competition, rebate checks and so much more are provided to you by means of the revenue created by the sales of CPAN classifieds; so the more exposure that the CPAN program gets to the general public, the better.

A series of five ads have been made available to our members on the FCPNY website to promote statewide and regional classifieds in your individual publications. You can run them as they are or switch out FCPNY’s contact information for your own—it’s up to you. Interested? The black/white or color ads can be found at fcpny.com under the “RESOURCES” tab on the home page and labeled “CPAN PROMO ADS,” or at the link: http://fcpny.com/resources/cpanpromoads.

We receive inquiries and even sales from these ads, and are grateful for the exposure that your publications provide. We look forward to continuing to provide the member benefits outlined above in 2012, so… please run these promotional ads, sell the CPAN ads and help keep these member benefits coming!

WE HAVE A WINNER!

Congratulations to Christine Drew of American Community Classifieds for winning the $500 VISA GIFT CARD grand prize from CPAN’s last incentive, which ended September 26, 2011. Christine sold 17 new ads into the CPAN program and earned $1,700 in addition to the grand prize!

WANT TO BE NEXT?

CPAN’s new fall classified incentive program has been announced. Our latest and greatest incentive program runs from now until the run week of December 19, 2011. If you sell three or more statewide ads during the term of this incentive (October 3 - December 19), for every new ad you submit, your name will be placed in a random bonus drawing for a $500 VISA Gift Card! In addition, you can earn extra money with the sales of new CPAN ads— either $75 or $100 per consecutive insertion.

DON’T FORGET!

Our online ad placement portal is available to our members to assist you in generating CPAN ad revenue. This, too, is promoted in the “filler” ads mentioned above. We can track where these ads come from if the advertiser comes through the link on your publication’s website, so we encourage you to place the link on your site and watch your CPAN revenue grow. We will provide you with a 60/40 revenue split (60% CPAN, 40% YOU) if we can track the ad placement back to your individual publication. You have absolutely NOTHING to lose!
